Vampires of Portlandia

Marcella Leones, leader of the Filipino vampires, relocates her family from the Philippines to Portland, Oregon. Her only wish is to give them a peaceful life, far away from the hunters and the Filipino government that have attempted to rid them from the earth. She raises her children under strict rules so humans will not expose them.

When Marcella dies, she passes on the power to her eldest grandchild, Percival. He vows to uphold the rules set forth by Leones, thus allowing his family to roam freely without notice. After all, they are monsters.

When the murder rate in Portland begins to multiply drastically, Percival believes that his younger brother, Roger, is responsible for all the deaths, as the rate of deaths in such a short period of time is only something a vampire could accomplish.

As Percival investigates the increase in murders, he meets Penelope Jane, an empath who senses something unusual about Percival. Both are intrigued of the other, and slowly, the two begin a relationship.

Eventually, Percival confronts his brother, and when the two hash out their differences, they discover that there are other breeds of monsters – werebeasts, witches, ghouls, and viscera – who have been residing in Portland for years.

Who is responsible for the murders? And why?

Based on Filipino folklore, “Vampires of Portlandia” is a fantastical tale of different monsters coexisting in the weirdest city in America.
